Tourism Events Funding

The Daytona Beach area has a rich history with events; from our high-impact racing events and motorcycle rallies to arts and culture-focused festivals to televised sports events such as the Daytona International Speedway races as well as National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Cheerleading Championships and various Central Florida Sports Commission supported activities.

This wide range of event offerings is unique to our area and creates a great opportunity to develop destination-based marketing programs uniquely geared toward specific interest groups. This targeted event marketing allows us to maximize overnight stays, while positioning the destination as a fun, active location for a wide range of consumers.

The Halifax Area Advertising Authority (HAAA) sets aside funds for the marketing of events that exhibit positive tourism potential. Funds designated for any events shall assist qualified applicants with event marketing and advertising initiatives that have the ability to show a direct effect on hotel/lodging occupancy during designated time frames, as well as create positive image-building publicity for the Daytona Beach area.

Festival and event producers interested in partnering with the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau for the promotion of events occurring in the Daytona Beach area are invited to carefully review the current HAAA-approved Funding Guidelines and Application. Tourism Event Marketing Support Applications must be completed and returned in a timely manner to be considered.
