If you have plans to fish in the Halifax River, Atlantic Ocean or any other waterway while visiting the Daytona Beach area, then learn the ins and outs of what it takes to obtain a license. There are several activities that don’t require a fishing license. This includes a trip on a chartered fishing or party boat, fishing off a licensed pier or if you are under the age of 16.
Fish Right Away!
If the above situations don’t pertain to you, then you can purchase a temporary fishing license number. This takes only a matter of minutes, allowing you to fish right away while your permanent license is sent in the mail. This can be done several ways:
- Purchase online through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
- Purchase by calling 1-888-FISH-FLORIDA
- Purchase at area Walmart locations, bait and tackle shops and sporting goods stores.
