For the most music-minded of vacationers, a getaway just can’t be called complete until they catch a favorite (or new-to-them) band or artist performing live on stage. And to accommodate these concert aficionados who live for live music, Daytona Beach offers a wide range of music venues where local, regional and national acts take to the stage for regular performances throughout the year.
If you’re set on seeing a live show during your next Daytona Beach vacation, be sure to check the upcoming events calendars at these five class-act venues in the area to see what might be on tap during your stay:
Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach: As the name suggests, this oceanfront hotel takes its music very seriously. In fact, from the hotel’s lobby, to its restaurants, other common areas, and even in the guest rooms themselves, music and music-related memorabilia are common (and recurring) themes seen in the décor and reflected in the laid-back atmosphere. The Hard Rock’s Wave Terrace is a great outdoor music venue featuring an oceanfront stage, plenty of open deck space for dancing, lots of lounge chairs and even glowing fire pits. And the venue’s upcoming events spotlight local acts, regional acts and tribute acts covering a wide range of musical genres.
GET READY TO ROCK
Welcome to Rockville: The Daytona International Speedway hosts events and concerts in its stadium, and this rock-filled four-day event is one for the ages. Set for November 11-14, 2021, the Welcome to Rockville music festival will bring a long list of the nation’s biggest and hardest-rocking acts — including Metallica (two nights), Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, Lynyrd Skynyrd and lots more — to the stage at the World Center of Racing, and the atmosphere here is sure to be unrivaled.
Daytona Beach Bandshell: Music venues don’t get much more legendary than this scenic oceanfront amphitheater, built in 1937 and located just steps from the Atlantic Ocean. The Bandshell hosts a Summer Concert Series from May through September, and this year’s lineup includes an impressive list of not-to-be-missed tribute acts, followed by fireworks
SEE A SHOW AT THE BANDSHELL
The Roof: It’s not often that fans of live music get to see a show from right above the Atlantic Ocean’s crashing waves. But that’s exactly the case at The Roof, which boasts a lofty coastal location above Joe’s Crab Shack on the Daytona Beach Pier — so guests can enjoy their live music with sides of succulent seafood and cool ocean breezes.
ENJOY MUSIC WITH A VIEW
Peabody Auditorium: This historic Daytona Beach venue hosts regular cultural events, such as performances presented by the Daytona Beach Symphony Society, the Daytona Beach Civic Ballet and Broadway in Daytona Beach, as well as frequent concerts featuring big-name national acts. Visit the venue’s website to see its upcoming events.
CATCH A PERFORMANCE AT THE PEABODY
