WHAT: Cinematique’s Halloween Horror Picture Show

Catch a double-feature night for twice the scare this Halloween! This FREE event is open to the public, but you must register to reserve your spot — only 70 spots are available each night, and these spots fill up quickly.
On Halloween, the night begins at 9:30 p.m. with “The Thing,” a 1982 sci-fi film featuring Kurt Russell. Afterward, you can restock on your supply of beer, wine, food and more. Plus, door prizes will be available, with various raffles taking place throughout the evening, as well. Following all of that, the fun continues at 11:30 p.m. with “Halloween 3: Season of the Witch,” the third installation of the cult classic. It’s shaping up to be a horrifyingly good time — don’t miss it!

Hang out and hang 10 at this super-fun annual event held in New Smyrna Beach! The event is centered around an amateur surf contest featuring various divisions. The cost is $15 for registration, with an additional $15 required for each division entered.
Not into serious surfing, but don’t want to miss out on the fun? Not to worry — the costumed division is totally free, as long as you’re in costume. Contestants will be judged on their costumes and have to ride at least one wave during the heat. What’s the treat, you ask? Winners receive $100! There’s sure to be plenty of laughs during this Spooktacular, so don’t miss out!

WHAT: 2nd Annual Great Gatsby Masquerade Halloween Bash

It’s time to bust out your best flapper dresses and tuxedos — the Great Gatsby Masquerade Halloween Bash is back for its second year! Head to the iconic Streamline Hotel for a little old-fashioned fun, glamour and grandeur. On the Saturday before Halloween, the Streamline will be decked out in the elegant splendor of the 1920s. And what better place to host a throwback party than in a building filled with rich NASCAR history? Champagne will be flowing, the band will be swinging, and the party is sure to be a hit.
Note that this party is limited to those aged 21 and over. Limited space is available, so be sure to purchase your ticket in advance! Plus, you’ll save money that way — tickets start at $25 per person in advance, and go up to $40 when purchased at the door.
