If you are looking for some beachside family fun, head to the iconic Daytona Beach Boardwalk! Your family will be able to spend hours upon hours at this entertainment hub, all accompanied by the ocean breeze.

Centrally located on Ocean Avenue in Daytona Beach, the Boardwalk is easily accessible and offers plenty of parking just across the street. Here are five great ways to spend your time at one of the area’s most famous attractions.

Play for keeps.

One of the biggest draws of the Boardwalk is the arcade. Play classic games like Skee-Ball, pinball, Pac-Man and other vintage video games, and more! There’s something for all ages to enjoy from 9 a.m. to midnight.

Grab a snack.

All of your playing work up an appetite? Head to Pizza King, a much-beloved institution that’s been around since 1958. Refuel with a delicious slice of pizza as you overlook the ocean, or opt for another menu item like Greek salad, hot dogs or fried clams. And if these options aren’t floating your boat, there are a handful of other food selections available on-site, too, like the burgers and fries served up at Joyland Amusement Center and Mardi Gras Fun Center.

Cruise through history.

The racing enthusiasts in your vacation crew will enjoy going on a self-guided tour along the Boardwalk. There are a number of automobile - and motorcycle - racing commemorative plaques placed in a progression down the Boardwalk — because Daytona Beach has plenty of racing history and stories to share, that’s for sure!

Enjoy live music.

If you visit between May and September, be sure to hit the Daytona Beach Bandshell at the Boardwalk’s northern end for a free concert from one of the incredible pop, rock, blues or country bands slated to perform. Furthermore, you can be dazzled by a fireworks display every Saturday during the summer at 9:45 p.m.

Catch a thrill.

After a nearly $5 million renovation, Screamer’s Park is ready and waiting for you to come experience the thrill of a lifetime. The park is open daily at 10 a.m., and a ticket to ride costs $25 per person. Located right near Daytona Beach’s Main Street Pier, the entertainment complex is conveniently situated in the heart of all the oceanfront action.

Whether you’re planning a fun date night for two or looking for ways to entertain your kids during vacation, don’t miss the Daytona Beach Boardwalk.
