Fall is the perfect time for an oceanside getaway in Daytona Beach. The calendar may call for crisp breezes and snow flurries farther north, but down here, the summer fun is endless. A whole world of entertainment and enrichment awaits, providing plenty of opportunities to keep busy between trips to the beach.

Enjoy an Open-Air Festival

Warm, summery weather means enjoying events and activities outdoors, and there's no shortage of festivals to keep you entertained as you bask in the Daytona Beach sun. Daytona Beach is the Festival Capital of Florida and with every fall you’ll find art, music and food festivals, Biketoberfest® motorcycle rally, and car shows. The Halifax Art Festival, Greek Festival, Riverfest Seafood Festival and the Daytona Turkey Run are just a few lively happenings. There are tons of other events and festivals to experience throughout the season, each offering something for everyone.

Step Back in Time

Want to immerse yourself in Daytona Beach history? Tour two of the area's most important historic sites, both of which happen to offer free admission to visitors. John D. Rockefeller's winter home, The Casements, is situated on the Halifax River, giving you the opportunity to see paradise from a different angle. Another stately historic house in Daytona Beach, the Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune home, offers a different view of the area's past. This humble abode is now the site of a museum in honor of its namesake owner, a civil rights leader and education advocate for African-American children in the early 1900s.

Dance and Dine to Live Music

You can catch live music every day of the week at Daytona Beach's many excellent bars and restaurants. Cap off a day of incredible sightseeing or beach relaxation with some fresh local seafood or a slow dance with your sweetheart. You can choose a place that's close to your hotel to visit night after night, or go on a casual live-music bar crawl down scenic restaurant hotspots such as Atlantic Avenue or Beach Street. Either way, you'll get to enjoy beachside fun and catch different musical acts throughout your endless summer in Daytona Beach.
