Down, set, hut: Football season is upon us, and that means it’s time for burgers, brews and camaraderie with other sports fans. If you find yourself in Daytona Beach this fall — and you should, as fall is one of the best seasons to visit Daytona Beach — hit one of these four favorite sports bars to grab some food and watch the game.
Houligan’s
Multiple locations in the Daytona Beach area
Founded in 1990, Houligan’s has been voted a #1 sports bar in the area for over 25 years in a row. Famous for their “Wally Wings” and mouthwatering burgers, the spirited sports grill also serves crisp salads and sandwich favorites.
LandShark Bar & Grill
471 South Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach
If you want to watch a football game but are reluctant to give up the beach breeze, head to LandShark Bar & Grill right on the oceanfront. Grab a seat at the outdoor bar with a good view of the TV screen, absorb the sound of the waves crashing, and enjoy! Speaking of games, if you need a halftime stretch, enjoy one of the establishment’s outdoor games like cornhole.

Half Wall Beer House
3370 South Nova Road, Port Orange
Half Wall Beer House is not quite your traditional sports bar; rather, it’s an upscale craft beer house offering 76 draft beers and more than 100 bottled beers. For game day, though, the biggest draw is definitely the 23-plus TVs! Plus, you can munch on boom-boom shrimp, chili, a peanut butter bacon burger or other menu items while you hang. If you’re staying near downtown Daytona Beach, the Port Orange location will probably be your closest option, and there are two other regional locations: 105 West Indiana Avenue in DeLand, and 1889 State Road 44 in New Smyrna Beach.
Sure enough, August 24 marks the kickoff of the regular college football season. If you want some live action, check out a Bethune-Cookman University game — and cheer on Daytona Beach’s hometown college football team, the Wildcats! Their first home game of the season is September 7, 2019.
