Daytona Beach International Airport continually adds new programs to enhance the passenger experience:
- Travelers can receive extra assistance through the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program. This voluntary program for airport passengers identifies hidden disabilities by the green sunflower product they choose to wear. While this program does not allow for special treatment or expedited service, it is an indication to airport staff that the passenger may require additional assistance.
- Complimentary postcards (with postage) for passengers to mail from the concourse
- Plush k9s in the likeness of our four K9s stationed at DAB, that deputies give out to promote positive outreach between law enforcement and the traveling public
- A TSA mail-back program where passengers have the option of placing a prohibited object (such as a pocket knife or wine key) in a self-addressed and postage-paid envelope
- The Daytona Beach library offers free digital downloads of books, music, movies and more through a partnership with the Volusia County Library
- Travelers are also treated to a cultural experience throughout the terminal with the Art in Public Places program. The airport’s 2021 renovation included a new art gallery that highlights Florida artists.
