The Florida Motorcycle Safety Program (FMSP) is a statewide safety initiative dedicated to making Florida’s roads safer for everyone by reducing motorcycle-related crashes, serious injuries, and fatalities. Through a proactive, data-driven approach, the program brings together organizations, communities, and motorcycle safety advocates to deliver consistent and cohesive education, outreach, and awareness across the state.

The program includes key motorcycle partners, ABATE of Florida, Inc. (ABATE), the American Legion Riders – Department of Florida, Inc. (FL-ALR), and the Latin American Motorcycle Association, Inc. (L.A.M.A.), working together as a unified framework and motorcycle safety hub that delivers consistent messaging, increases training awareness, and engages riders and motorists across Florida.  By uniting their strengths, they take a comprehensive, impactful approach to promoting motorcycle safety and work to make roads safer for all riders.

Program Goals:

• Reduce motorcycle crashes, fatalities, and serious injuries on Florida roads.
• Maximize impact through raising awareness, educating the community, building community support and trust, and promoting safe riding practices among motorcyclists and motorists to ultimately influence behavior change.
• Engage the community through motorcycle safety outreach at Florida’s largest motorcycle events year-round and distribute motorcycle safety resources.
• Foster inclusivity through bilingual materials and ADA-compliant digital resources.
• Enhance collaboration through strategic partnerships and cross-promotion of motorcycle safety outreach and training opportunities.
