Mary McLeod Bethune Performing Arts Center & Visual Arts Gallery

The Performing Arts Center building is 100,000 square feet and is designed to meet the diverse cultural needs of all area residents and visitors. This $23 million state-of-the-art center provides a capacious setting for an array of cultural offerings. The Performing Arts Center can seat 2,500. It has a full working stage with state-of-the-art sound, lights, and staging facilities. The center offers 40 box seats, box office, five (5) private dressing rooms, and two (2) large chorus dressing rooms. The stage is 48' x 60' and has an acoustical shell and flying capability. The loading dock can fit two (2) tractor/trailers for unloading. The Banquet Center is 1,590 square feet and is equipped with a full warming kitchen, offering catering and can seat 100 comfortably. The Visual Arts Gallery (Lobby) is 7,000 square feet. The dimensions are 190' x 32' and can hold wedding receptions and trade shows. There are four (4) plasma screens mounted on the walls with live direct stage viewing. The center has more than 2,000 parking spaces available.
