DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –  The Regional Dance America (RDA) National Festival will take place in Daytona Beach on April 24-27 with events at the Ocean Center, Peabody Auditorium, Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort and Daytona Grande Oceanfront Resort.

Held in between years of Region Festivals, RDA National Festivals traverse the country to fulfill dancers’ passion and audiences’ appreciation for the art of dance throughout the United States. For the fifth time in the nearly 70-year history of Regional Dance America, dancers, choreographers, directors, chaperones, dance educators and musicians from around the country will learn, connect, and grow at this event.

The RDA National Festival will feature master classes by world renowned instructors in a wide array of dance genres, high-caliber dance performances, scholarship and recruitment offerings, and seminars for dancers, directors, board members, guild member and costumers.

“We’re proud to see the destination continue to attract national groups such as this and bring positive economic impact into the community,” said Lori Campbell Baker, Executive Director of the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). “We hope all the attendees have a great experience visiting Daytona Beach and that our community is able to enjoy many of the scheduled performances.”

Performances, which the public can attend, will take place at Peabody Auditorium on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday. April 24, 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 25, 7 p.m.
  • Friday, April 26, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 27, 6:30 p.m.

Previous RDA National Festivals have been held in Houston, Pittsburgh, Montreal and Phoenix. Regional Dance America/Southeast (RDA/Southeast), one of five regional associations of RDA, has previously held a festival in Daytona Beach in May 2022.

The festival is expected to attract an estimated 2,200 attendees to the destination.

“Regional Dance America provides access to diverse dance forms and performance and scholarship opportunities for thousands of dancers annually,” said Erika Davis, CEO, Regional Dance America. “We look forward to celebrating the rich landscape of dance throughout the United States as dancers from all corners of the country converge in the vibrant Volusia County arts community.”
