DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Marine Corps League’s 99th annual National Convention will be coming to Daytona Beach for the first time, holding their national convention at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort Aug. 15-20. The convention will be the largest military convention ever to be held in Daytona Beach.

The mission of Marine Corps League (MCL), which is made up by 60,000 Marines, Navy Corpsmen, and FMF (Fleet Marine Force) Chaplains, is to promote the interest and to preserve traditions of the United States Marine Corps; strengthen the fraternity of Marines and their families; serve marines and FMF Navy Personnel who wear or who have worn the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor; and foster the ideals of Americanism and patriotic volunteerism.

Convention attendees will take part in national convention business at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort but will also enjoy a full slate of activities throughout the Daytona Beach area with their families and friends who are traveling with them.

“Daytona Beach is proud to host the Marine Corps League 2022 National Convention,” said Lori Campbell Baker, Executive Director of the Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB). “The Marine Corps League 2022 National Convention is the largest military convention ever to be held in Daytona Beach and is a great opportunity to showcase this destination to visitors. During the convention, the attendees, as well as their families and friends, will be able to enjoy numerous activities within the destination and bring positive economic impact into the community.”

During the convention visit to Daytona Beach, the Military Order of the Devil Dogs, a subsidiary organization of the MCL that consists of 6,000 members, will present a check for $83,000 to Halifax Health Systems and President/CEO Jeff Feasel during the Daytona Tortugas minor league baseball game on Aug. 16 at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. The Devil Dogs raise money every year to present to the local children’s hospital in the city where the Marine Corps League National Convention is held.
