DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Daytona Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) was recognized with the Larry Pendleton Partner Award for Best Small Marketing Awarded Event for its outstanding partnership and promotional efforts supporting the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) & National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship.
The award, which was presented by the Florida Sports Foundation during its recent Sports Summit in Bradenton, honors destinations and organizations that demonstrate collaboration, innovation, and marketing excellence in advancing successful sporting events throughout the state.
For nearly three decades, the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship has attracted the nation’s top cheer and dance programs to Daytona Beach to compete at the Daytona Beach Bandshell and the Ocean Center, generating significant economic impact to the community and showcasing the destination to a national audience through media exposure.
“We’re proud to receive this recognition from the Florida Sports Foundation,” said Lori Campbell Baker, Executive Director for the Daytona Beach Area CVB. “The NCA & NDA Championships are a treasured tradition in Daytona Beach and have become an important part of our community’s identity. We are grateful for our longstanding partnership with Varsity Spirit, as well as the support of our hotel partners, community and local stakeholders who help make this championship such a success year after year.”
The NCA & NDA Collegiate National Championship will continue to call Daytona Beach home through 2030 with next year’s event scheduled for April 7-11.
