Motorcycle Racing in Daytona Beach
Though it's most famous for car racing events like the DAYTONA 500 and Coke Zero 400, Daytona Beach isn't just reserved for four-wheel vehicles. Motorcycle racing is another popular, adrenaline-inducing sport with a long and colorful history in east Central Florida. Founded in 1937, the DAYTONA 200 is a 200-mile motorcycle race held annually at Daytona International Speedway. It's a weeklong spring tradition with plenty of activities on and off the track. There's the Daytona Supercross By Honda, various road racing events, the area's largest motorcycle marketplace and, of course, the running of the DAYTONA 200. Other must-see races for motorcycle enthusiasts includes various vintage racing events under the umbrella of the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) held at the Speedway.
