Victoria Hills isn’t a “normal” Florida golf course, and the Ron Garl design takes great pride in that fact. The Sunshine State is the land of palm trees and water, but those aren’t the defining characteristics at Victoria Hills.
The layout, instead, features naturally rolling terrain and pine tree lined fairways that remind some of North Carolina’s famed Pinehurst area. The course’s design is widely regarded as one of Central Florida’s best, due primarily to Garl’s creativity.
Victoria Hills takes full advantage of the 200-acre property’s naturally sandy terrain, using it to provide visual contrast on a layout largely devoid of water.
The greens complexes are large and undulating, making them as fun as they are challenging. The greens are typically elevated and protected by sand and swales, so golfers need to make sure their short game is on point.
Victoria Hills is a challenging course but it’s is one of the Daytona Beach area’s best, so as you plan your next golf vacation, take a look at making the short drive inland to enjoy this gem.
