About
The Jones Course at LPGA was designed in 1994 by Rees Jones. The Jones Course at acclaimed LPGA International was a favorite of LPGA Tour players when they made an annual stop in Daytona Beach, and it’s not hard to see why. With wide fairways framed by mounding, the layout is as visually appealing as it is fun to play. Famed architect Rees Jones challenges players to navigate yawning waste bunkers, natural marsh areas and beautiful lakes, and that’s all before they get to some of Central Florida’s best and most undulating greens. Don’t let the talk of hazards fool you; the course is imminently playable for players of all skill levels. While trouble often lurks around the fairways, there is ample room to hit driver off the tee, making the approach into those undulating greens the most important shot on many holes. Golfers that hit greens in the proper spots will have a chance to make putts and score well. The experience on the Jones Course is highlighted by the unforgettable 18th hole, which provides a dramatic conclusion to one of Daytona Beach’s most memorable rounds of golf. With a lake on the left and those mounds on the right, the 388-yard (white tees) par 4 is everything golfers want in a finishing a hole.
