Tom Renick Park
Location: 1565 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond-by-the-Sea, 3 miles north of Granada Blvd.
Open daily: Restroom facilities are available from within 1 hour of sunrise to within 1 hour of sunset. Parking is prohibited between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Admission: Free.
Tom Renick Park is handicapped accessible and beautifully set into the natural coastal landscape with a variety of dune vegetation throughout, including Sea Grapes, Sea Oats and Cabbage Palms. The park has picnic pavilions, a playground, restrooms, showers and bike racks.
The park is dedicated to former Volusia County Beach Safety Director Tom Renick, who became a lifeguard in 1969 and died of cancer in 2001.
All Coastal and Inlet Parks are open 365 days a year.
