About
The course at the Preserve at Turnbull Bay was designed in 1995 by Gary Wintz. Golfers looking to test their games should immediately book a tee time at The Preserve at Turnbull Bay, one of the Daytona Beach area’s best and most challenging layouts. Turnbull Bay abuts the Doris Leeper nature preserve, and the layout blends seamlessly into its surroundings, showcasing nature’s abundant gifts. The course is framed by stunning, centuries old oak trees and is populated by the area’s native wildlife. The course was built with the idea of leaving its surroundings largely undisturbed, and that effort produced a layout that isn’t overly long, but there is water on 17 of 18 holes. Turnbull Bay plays 5,819 yards from the white tees, so players don’t always have to use a driver, making it easier to find the short grass. Despite the presence of water, there are few long, forced carries. The Preserve at Turnbull Bay, which features smooth, fast Paspalum greens, is family owned and is consistently among the area’s best conditioned courses. If your group wants a challenging, yet exceedingly fair round of golf, Turnbull Bay needs to be on your next Daytona Beach golf itinerary.
