About

Registrar and Assistant Curator Felipe De Paula of the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum will discuss the history of the Timucua people that lived in Florida before the arrival of Europeans.

Consisting of various tribes that shared a common language, the Timucua inhabited most of what is today Central and North Florida. What did they eat? What were they like? How did they live? Where are they now?

These questions and many more will be answered as you enjoy an in-depth presentation about some of our state’s earliest residents.
