Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum presents Three Lighthouses of Volusia County on March 23, 2022 at 4 p.m.. Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Lead Docent John Mann will present a trip through Volusia County history as he explains the functions of a lighthouse in conjunction with the three lighthouses that have existed along its shorelines. This educational program is FREE thanks in part to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association and the Enterprise Preservation Society.
Following retirement as a teacher and administrator in a high school district in New Jersey, Mann has served about ten thousand hours as lead docent at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum . In addition to conducting tours, Mann organizes and facilitates workshops at the lighthouse, participates in outreach programs at area schools and for community groups, and does first-person interpretation of a 1930s Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Keeper.
