Elko Concerts presents Little River Band performing at Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach at 8 p.m. Friday, March 27. Through the 1970s and 1980s, the Little River Band enjoyed huge chart success with multiplatinum albums and chart topping hits including “Reminiscing,” “Cool Change,” “Lonesome Loser,” “The Night Owls,” “Take It Easy on Me” and more. Bassist/vocalist Wayne Nelson joined the band in 1980, and worked alongside founding members with some of the most distinctive harmonies and vocal abilities, creating the unique Little River Band sound. Stephen Housden joined the group in 1981, bringing a rock element into the band’s sound and helping to contribute to their string of Top 10 hits. Housden and Nelson continued to work together to bring the Little River Band into the new millennium.
To date, Nelson has contributed his vocal and bass guitar talents on 22 Little River Band albums/CDs. The Little River Band continues to perform to sold-out audiences, and Housden continues to write and participate in all things Little River Band. In 2016, the Little River Band released the CD ‘The Hits…Revisited.' The Little River Band members are Nelson, Chris Marion, Rich Herring, Ryan Ricks and Colin Whinnery. Little River Band is hotter than ever, is selling out shows for their 2019 tour, and is continuing their legacy of being “the best singing band in the world.” For more details, including ticket information, visit www.peabodyauditorium.org.
