Travel back in time and explore the fascinating history of Volusia's indigenous people at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse on Saturday November 19th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Learn about the Timucua and Seminole as you explore the historic light station and participate in interactive workshops, demonstrations, and other activities presented by the lighthouse staff and representatives from museums and cultural sites located throughout the state of Florida. All activities are free of charge with your paid admission.
This special one-day event will highlight Volusia County's rich Native American heritage while providing museum guests the unique opportunity to discover the many cultural offerings of East Central Florida in one convenient location.
Activities to include, but not limited to: kids' crafts, historical re-enactments, academic lectures, hands-on workshops, artifact displays, and much more.
