Authors travel to F.R.E.S.H. for a time to network with fellow authors, meet with readers and fans, and yes, sell books! Authors arrive at F.R.E.S.H. with books for every reader's indulgence. After all, F.R.E.S.H. is the acronym for Fiction, Romance, Erotica, Spiritual, Health & More (TM).

Readers merge at F.R.E.S.H. for an opportunity to meet some of their favorite authors, purchase new releases, greet familiar faces, and make new acquaintances.

Mr. Booker T. Mattison joins F.R.E.S.H. again this year. He headlines the Film Festival with the debut of his new short, Ungubani (Who Are You?) Mattison is an author and filmmaker who wrote the screenplay for and directed the film adaptation of Zora Neale Hurston's classic story,The Gilded Six Bits , which aired on Showtime. It starred Chad L. Coleman (The Walking Dead ,The Wire ) in his first leading role. The film also starred T'keyah Crystal Keymah (That's So Raven ,In Living Color), Wendell Pierce (The Wire,Treme), and Novella Nelson (The Antoine Fisher Story). The Hollywood Reporter said, "Mattison's direction and feel for her characters match up to Hurston's sterling piece of fiction...full of atmosphere and strongly developed characters."
