The 42nd Annual Greek Festival returns to Daytona Beach’s St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Daytona Beach's Greek families invite everyone to be “Greek For The Weekend!” and join in the celebration by eating, dancing, drinking and singing like a Greek.
This “must do” event is free and open to the public and guaranteed to be fun for all. The Annual Greek Festival is one of the most attended and enjoyed celebrations. A family friendly event, attendees will enjoy traditional, live Greek music, dancing, Greek beer, wine, ouzo and incredible selections of Greek cuisine, featuring favorite foods like Pastitsio, Dolmades, Gyros, Baklava and more. Back by popular demand is Moussaka, a layered eggplant and potato based dish with seasoned meat, béchamel sauce and grated cheese. Combination dinners, pastries and trays of prepared foods will also be available for individuals to take home.
New food items this year include Souvlaki on a stick! (small pieces of meat (pork) with Greek seasoning grilled on a stick), Hummus and Tzatziki dip and pita. Tzatziki is a Greek sauce made with strained yogurt, cucumbers and garlic.
Attendees can learn how to dance to Greek music, enjoy Greek cuisine and mingle with friends.
There will also be vendors with unique items available for sale.
Free parking and shuttle buses will be available during festival hours. Free parking at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1014 N. Halifax Avenue. Custom luxury air conditioned buses will run every 10 minutes to shuttle guests to and from the festival.
Tours of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church to discover the Greek religious traditions will be available.
