10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday), and 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. Saturday. Peabody Auditorium, 600 Auditorium Blvd., The Rose
Room Gallery, Daytona Beach. The Exhibit is free and open to the
public. This exhibition brings together artists Judy Gilmer,
Margaret Schnebly Hodge and Patricia H. K. Zalisko and presents
works by women who paint abstractly, not necessarily abstracted
paintings of women. These three powerful artists reside in eastern
Volusia County. Curator Mary E. McBride believes that the art of
Gilmer, Hodge and Zalisko comes together as a strong statement of
redefined women's' work. They are not timid in their
brushstrokes or use of color. Their art emblazons their surfaces
with strength of conviction and confidence of skill. The gallery
is also open during all theater events. For more information
